They came for them, today,
the last of them,
the last trees in our town.Energy, they said–
fuel to run these trucks
carrying the soldiers
that keep us safe.The ones who strip away
the last trees, the last grass–
the last remaining biomass
to serve the dwindling few
and those they still command.Keeping the country safe,
just like they promised,
they’ll come for us, next,
the not-quite-dead, because
there’ll be no fuel or food
for another trip to nowhere.

Quilted Poetry 
Willkommen bei den Montagslyrikern! – Einladung von Terence Horn und PPschen
PP hatte die wirklich gute Idee, die Montagslyriker ins Leben zu rufen. Ein Projekt, um unsere Blogs bekannter zu machen und um uns untereinander besser zu vernetzen. Wir wollen mehr Leser für unsere Arbeit gewinnen und zeigen, was wir drauf haben.
Die Idee: Wir bitten jeden Montag einen Lyriker um Beantwortung von fünf Fragen (Ich stelle euch natürlich erst ein wenig vor und bräuchte die Antworten bis spätestens Samstagabend, um alles entsprechend vorzubereiten):
Nenne den Schmerz beim Namen. Wer ist der Dämon, der dich zum Schreiben verführte?

Wer dich kennenlernen will muss wissen, dass du …
(Erzähl uns von deinen Macken, schlechten und guten Eigenschaften, von deinen dunklen Geheimnissen)

Was tust du, um dein Werk bekannt zu machen?

Natürlich müsst ihr nicht alle Fragen beantworten, wenn ihr nicht wollt oder weicht einfach ein wenig aus. Wenn ihr wollt, könnt ihr auch Bilder schicken und natürlich einen Link zu eurem Blog. Ich kann zwar nicht garantieren, dass ich alles veröffentliche, aber ich gebe mir Mühe.
Bitte setzt auch auf eurem Blog einen Link zu dem Artikel, damit wir alle von der Veröffentlichung profitieren und vielleicht auch auf den ein oder anderen Artikel von einem Kollegen oder einer Kollegin.
Wir sind gespannt, wie sich die Montagslyriker entwickeln. So oder so ist ein Projekt, mit dem wir Spaß haben werden und neue, interessante Leute kennenlernen.

I have just found your reply to my SFPA publications page. I am sorry for my lapse, but both of my parents died between November and the end of February, and my attention has been/still is elsewhere.
