Oddly, I don’t seem to have an image to go with this. It’s late at night, once again, and again I am at my keyboard, the dogs at the foot of the bed. I like this time of the night because everything around me has come to rest…except for me. I appreciate the quiet.

Good night!

Obscuring the Moon

a screech-owl’s call
distant echoes in the dark…
a scratch at the door
rising winds rustle the leaves
as clouds erase the moon

gentle to my eye

a faint mist blankets branches
brushes newly frost-bit leaves
